Head of School Welcome

Named after our Founder, Christina Seix, our Pre-K-8th grade Academy awards a full annual scholarship to every child entering the Academy.  Ms. Seix’s devotion to her community, profound love of her heritage, and belief in the potential of all children extends throughout our program. We are eternally grateful for her courage, generosity, and audacity to reimagine the role of community schools.

As the Academy’s inaugural Head of School, I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Ms. Seix and a dynamic founding team. Needless to say, I’m extremely proud of our achievements.  Our students are thriving in an advanced academic setting that equally prioritizes mental and physical wellness.  All of our students enjoy weekly participation in artistic, engineering, athletic, and residential life programming; while our campus advocacy and health centers have strengthened trust by supporting parents’ unique ,and sometimes urgent needs. As a result, our students are prepared to graduate as empowered emerging leaders who enjoy a firm sense of identity and a commitment to their families and communities. 

All year round we celebrate our values by affirming a school and family partnership rooted in unconditional love, social justice, and hope. Even during these urgent and challenging times, the defiant joy of our students reverberates across campus, reflecting the resilience of our community and the agency of our students.  We are truly a “beloved community.”
