Our Team

Our Christina Seix Academy team comprises a group of teachers, "techies," poets, scientists, writers, artists, and athletes who embrace a spirit of camaraderie and community.

Many of us bring a worldview and background similar to the experiences of our underserved students, creating a common bond based on empathy and a desire for a positive path forward. We share a passionate belief that all students can succeed with individualized educational and personalized guidance and support.

Our Academy’s curriculum and programs are informed by up-to-date research focused on our students’ needs, and a “More Than a School” approach that focuses on an individual’s development within an educational community. Our team members are dedicated to serving both students and their families, highlighting accomplishments, learning from mistakes, accepting challenges, overcoming setbacks, and responding to community loss in partnership.  Our staff reflects the community we serve, with a deep understanding of the relevance of race, gender, and culture both on campus and within the broader community. As caring mentors and trusted collaborators, we strive to bring out the best in our students, their families and, ourselves. We broaden our community’s horizons via exposure to new experiences and traditions. Ultimately, our true strength lies within the diverse ethnic and cultural identities of our team.
