My Joy

While in the classroom, my most amazing moments are when I see all of the foundation skills we teach come together and students read their first books.  It's when they realize they can read and I am able to see the excitement and pride in their eyes.  I also love showing the students their work from the beginning of the year right next to their work from the end of the year.  It feels great for both of us to see how much they've learned and grown.  Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and two kids.  I also love being out in nature and photographing wildlife.

I joined Christina Seix Academy in 2014 as an associate teacher in the Pre K-3 classroom. I am a graduate of Cabrini University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Educational Studies and a minor in Spanish. After pursuing my dream of teaching in Hawai'i, I returned to CSA in 2020 to take on the roll of the middle school Spanish teacher. Following my passion to teach in the lower school, I am now a lead teacher in the Pre K-3 classroom.

My Joy

The moment you realize your student is using strategies from a lesson you taught is by far one of the most rewarding, yet captivating experiences as a teacher. It's amazing to observe students as they express their opinions and thoughts about different topics and discussions learned in class. One of my passions is to travel to different countries around the world and explore many different cultures and languages. I also love spontaneous adventures like biking, swimming, dancing and sight seeing. "Live for as long as you can, laugh to bring joy to your soul, and love so that your heart can sing".

What I Love About CSA

The thing I love about CSA is the mission of the school. I admire their determination to give children the opportunity to achieve their goals in life. #FromPotentialToAchievement
