About the Learning Commons
Located in the heart of the Academic Building, the Academy’s Learning Commons is more than just a library. Opened in March 2020, the Learning Commons is home to over 2,500 physical volumes and resources that reflect our institutional values, beliefs and diversity. The space also serves as a classroom and meeting space, providing students, faculty and families a place to gather, study and collaborate.
Our Core Values
CSA is an institution that values the individual as a whole. We value all aspects of the diversity that encompasses that identity including: gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religious beliefs, race, socio-economic status, and abilities- mental, physical and emotional. It is vital that our resources and values take a holistic approach to our students and serve them as a whole person and not a single identity. We believe that students are best served by learning about the world around them through both fiction and non-fiction, and that through a variety of stories and lenses we better prepare our young people to be positive forces for change in the universe and to serve both themselves and others. It is only through learning about others that we learn about ourselves.
