Our rowing students recently visited the Princeton National Rowing Association (PNRA), where they had the privilege of learning from two-time Olympian, Hilary Gehman. The visit, filled with hands-on learning and exciting challenges, provided a unique opportunity for students to delve deeper into the world of competitive rowing.
During their time at PNRA, students immersed themselves in various aspects of rowing, from learning essential techniques to understanding specialized rowing vocabulary. Under Gehman's expertise, they honed their rowing skills on the tranquil waters of the lake, experiencing the beauty and challenges of rowing in a professional setting.
The event was made special as families, including Brysun Saunders' mother, joined in the activities. Ms. Springs not only witnessed the team's enthusiasm for rowing but also actively participated, gaining first hand insight into the sport and fostering a sense of community among the students and families.
At the conclusion of the visit, each student was awarded a participation certificate as a testament to their dedication and progress in the sport. The visit to PNRA not only enhanced rowing proficiency but also instilled values of teamwork and fostered a love for the sport. Thank you so much to Mrs Krystal Peck for organizing the event and serving as our incredible Rowing Instructor. To view pictures of the event please click here.
