Last Friday (May 10), we had the privilege of coming together to celebrate National Nurse Appreciation Day, a special occasion dedicated to honoring the dedication and compassionate care of our school nurses. We are so fortunate to have the best school nurses here, Ms. Orlieon Kelly, Ms. Courttny Brown, and Ms. Sakeenah Allen, our Senior Director of Child and Family Wellness.
The theme of this celebration was “We couldn’t survive with-OUCH you!” Our school community showered our nurses with heartfelt thanks on bandaid shaped posters and they were cheered for during Friday’s community meeting. Each of them received a small gift as tokens of appreciation. This special day was a reminder of the invaluable role our nurses play in keeping our students, families and staff safe, healthy, and supported.
