CSA’s Student Forum Leaders recently had the unique opportunity to engage in a comprehensive dialogue with Dr. Perry, not only a distinguished physician with over 35 years in the health sector but also a current trustee of the Academy. Her visit offered an invaluable perspective on both her medical career and her role in supporting the Academy's mission.
As a physician at CITYMD, Dr. Perry brought to light her extensive experience managing a range of acute and chronic conditions, particularly highlighting her work during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her role in mass Covid-19 antigen and antibody testing, coupled with patient education, showcased her commitment to public health and safety.
Dr. Perry’s conversation went beyond her medical career, encompassing her innovative work in health technology. As a co-founder and chief medical officer of Big Heart Technologies, she discussed leveraging technology to enhance community health and wellness. Her previous role in leading the performance improvement unit at the Primary Care Development Corporation further emphasized her dedication to improving healthcare delivery.
